Crossing South: Our First Border and Baja Beginnings
Day 5 Pines 2 Patagonia log
Today we woke up in beautiful Palm Springs and had coffee and a snack with Papa Steve and then hit the road.
We worked our way to Calexico where we fueled up our bikes, ate a snack to settle the butterflies and departed the comforts of our beloved USA 🇺🇸
The crossing was very straight forward with no hiccups or issues. After checking our first boarder crossing off the list there may have been some squeals and girlie noises made as we headed away with fresh stamps in our passports.
We headed Southeast across the Baja peninsula for 125 miles (198 km) where we met up with Matt’s friends Jack and his wife Sherri. They have a beautiful home in a secure gated community where we will be staying for the evening.
We unloaded our bikes. shed a few layers of cloths and headed into San Felipe for some pretty American tacos, stiff margaritas and a beautiful view of the Sea.
After a stroll around town and some very touristy selfies we climbed back on our bikes and headed back to the ranch for the night.
